About
Us
-
Spring's Haven, LLC
- The center was born out of a lot of requests and suggestions
from close friends, associates and students. For 10 years Rev.
Carey has worked to maintain an online
education center for those on a metaphysical and esoteric
path. Through that effort she has provided support, inspiration
and guidance to thousands, literally around the globe. The popularity
of the site continues to increase and so do the requests to physically
attend classes offered by Rev. Carey.
-
- In late 2007 the planning for Spring's Haven, LLC began.
The legal filings were submitted to Federal and State organizations
in March, 2008. The company was registered as a Limited Liability
Corporation (LLC) on March 21, 2008 in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
-
- As our home page states, Spring's Haven is focused on understanding
spirituality to bring about tolerance and peace. Our goal is
to facilitate holistic spiritual awareness, enlightenment, wellness
and self empowerment through education and celebration.
-
- The Center is a non-member organization. Individuals participate
because they want to share in hope, community and friendship
with other spiritual beings.
-
- We offer worship services, adult education classes in spiritual
philosophy and practice, healthy living, Reiki healing, leadership
training and a thriving spiritual community. The Center also
offers services in spiritual healing, divination and spiritual
direction and counseling.

Rev. Vickie Carey, M.Msc.-
(aka - Lady SpringWolf)
- The owner and President of Spring's Haven, LLC. Rev. Carey
has been studying spiritual and metaphysical principles for almost
30 years. From informal and formal study, she has acquired various
certificates, certifications, degrees and licenses from her spiritual
path, through esoteric schools, holistic training programs and
formal collegiate institutions. She has received two ministerial
ordinations, the most recent from the 50 year old organization,
the International
Metaphysical Ministry. She holds a Masters of Metaphysical
Science from the University
of Sedona and is currently working on her Doctorate of Divinity
in Metaphysical Science.
-
- In 1982 she began her spiritual path studying Native American
and Celtic Shamanism. She completed the three areas of study
defined by the Deborean Clan of Celtic Shamanism (Faith, Divination,
Holistic Healing) and earned her the first ministerial ordination
as Clan Sage and the title 'Lady' SpringWolf. The next 5 years
were spent in a mandatory apprenticeship program ministering
to the Clan. Upon completion she was honored with a nomination
for the 4th degree initiation and in 1991 became an initiated
Shaman of her chosen path.
-
- In 1989, she was initiated as a Reiki I Channel, by Rev.
Beth Gray, Reiki Grand Master. Later that same year in the fall
she was initiated as a Reiki II Channel, again by Rev. Gray.
At this time, Rev. Carey began offering healing services to family
and friends.
-
- In 1992 she began formal courses at a local metaphysical
chapel in Reston Virginia, the Community Chapel of Wholistic
Healing (CCWH) headed by Rev. Michelle Lusson, DD. This training
opened a great many doors to new perspectives and insights into
Metaphysical study. It was also an opportunity to expand her
training in Ministerial Counseling and spiritual therapy. Along
with her Clan training, this metaphysical training gave Rev.
Carey a deeper understanding of spirituality and how to incorporate
age old beliefs into the busy stressful life of modern seekers.
-
- CCWH also provided an opportunity to take her Reiki practices
to the next stage. In April of 1996 she completed the final level
of Reiki training and was initiated by Reiki Master, Rev. Wilma
Donald, one of the ministers at CCWH. This completed Rev. Carey's
training and she received her Reiki Masters certification.
-
- Around this same time in 1996, Rev. Carey began writing spiritual
articles on the internet, providing her insight and answering
questions on various message boards. Her work was so well received,
she began development of her own free online education site known
as the SpringIce Spiritual Network housed on AOL. That site grew
in popularity and size very quickly and was expanded to it's
own online presence. For over 10 years, Rev. Carey has been providing
online education to seekers of spirituality. Along with personal
one on one guidance, counseling and class training programs.
She has been quoted in many magazine articles, and has contributed
articles to various publications around the world.
-
- In late 2007 she decided to take the advice and requests
of many online associates to take this internet education to
the next level. Bringing her years of knowledge and experience
into the 'real world' through a physical education center. The
planning for Spring's Haven, LLC began in earnest in December
2007 and the legal filings were drawn up in late January 2008.
Culminating in the acquisition of funding for the legal side
of the center Spring's Haven, LLC was incorporated in the Commonwealth
of Virginia on Ostara March 2008.
-
- Rev. Carey holds a Masters of Metaphysical Science from the
University of Sedona and acquired a second ordination in the
International Metaphysical Ministry in March 2008. The IMM is
an organization that has been working around the world for over
50 years. She is working to continue a long standing goal and
dream to work toward a Doctorate of Divinity of Metaphysical
Science and hopes to complete these studies in late 2008.
- We have been asked to include a link to Rev. Carey's Masters
Thesis and Doctorate Dissertation. We have included a link to
these files in PDF format for those interested in reading them.

Some Notes About The University
of Sedona
- In the US, there is something called Separation Of Church
and State. US state education systems can not get involved with
accreditation of purely religious institutions. They have no
jurisdiction over, and can not legislate when it comes to religion.
-
- That means that if a religious institution teaches only it's
religious philosophy, and not the secular subjects such as Calculus
and English Literature, there is no way the state can pass judgment
on the curriculum. The most a state can do is say that the institution
is not listed as accredited by any accreditation agencies recognized
by the state and the institution is listed as having No
accreditation from a CB recognized accreditor.
-
- Some of the most prestigious religious institutions of higher
learning in the world are not recognized as accredited by any
US state government because they teach religious philosophy and
not secular subjects. The University of Sedona and the University
of Metaphysics are two examples of this category of higher learning
religious institutions.
-
- But keep in mind that accreditation is seen by many to serve
one purpose. To acquire and qualify for Federal and or State
funding of the school, University or College. The University
of Sedona is sponsored by students, former graduates and generous
donations from the public. As such, they do not seek to acquire
Federal or State Funding.
-
- There have been many prestigious graduates from the University.
In 2008 Rev. Dr. Della Reese-Lett, who received her doctoral
degree from the University of Metaphysics, received the International
Metaphysical Ministrys Lifetime Achievement Award for the
work she has done and the inspiration she has given to others
around the world.
